just finished the lying bride and the same-sex marriage debate ! i'd read some of naoko kodama's one shots before but i'd never read any of her series (some of you might be familiar with "i married my best friend to shut my parents up") and i liked this one! i won't go too deep into it, but if you liked run away with me girl and pink candy kiss and ayaka is in love with hiroko (i would describe this series as a mix between the three... tbh i didn't find this one as enjoyable as those three but it was still a good read) then you'd like this! it's only 9 chapters long, so if you want something short, realistic, between adults, with a (sort of) butch/femme couple and a happy ending, give it a try!

but also, if you liked this one and HAVEN'T read those three that i mentioned before, try them out! i would say they expand on the themes shown in this manga in their own ways :)

on a scale of light hearted to saddest id say it goes ayaka is in love with hiroko (it also has a live action TV adaptation with a season 2 on the way if you prefer that), pink candy kiss, and run away with me girl if that's helpful... but, apart from pink candy kiss which is unfinished as of right now, all have happy endings!
