remember when chappell roan said "when you wake up next to him in the middle of the night with your head in your hands you're nothing more than his wife"? well that's basically hanayo, the protagonist of hanamonogatari. until her husband dies and she discovers her sapphicism again through her manic pixie dream girl's book recommendations. hanamonogatari is such a wonderful series to me... i love the mentions of nobuko yoshiya (lesbian 1920's writer whose works are basically pre-yuri)
what shines most to me isn't just the old women yuri but hanayo as a character: the journey she goes through is so lovely to see. moral of the story? it's never too late to discover yourself... and also LET OLD WOMEN MOE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!
(ps: sadly it was cancelled at 3 volumes, but give it a try anyway!)
